The New York Observer claims that Jay-Z pitched three book ideas, and that Spiegel & Grau expressed interest in a book consisting of Jay-Z's lyrics and the stories behind them. The project would represent Jay-Z's first literary work, though a publish date remains unknown.
Don't look for the book to mention his wife Beyonce. Talking to Extra, Beyonce says: "I think he's doing a book - it actually is not a biography. It [the marriage story] is never gonna happen."
